Alcheemika SolutionsTalk to an engineer ↗
Let’s talk

Tell us about your plant

You do not need a finished brief. Whether you are weighing an upgrade, planning a new unit, reviewing energy costs or trying to make sense of a new feedstock, tell us where you are. We will reply personally, usually with a few questions and a suggested next step.

What happens next

01

We read your message

It goes straight to our lead partner.

02

You hear back from a person

We reply with questions or a suggested next step.

03

We agree the right scope together

A short assessment, a process study, a FEED package or a wider engagement, depending on what your plant needs.

Your questions, answered

Common questions

Can your existing equipment handle a new feedstock? Where should you begin with decarbonisation? What do you need before an investment decision? Start with our answers to the questions plant owners ask most.

What is brownfield engineering?

Brownfield engineering upgrades or repurposes a plant you already have. We assess its condition and operating limits, then plan changes to equipment, processes or utilities around the needs of the existing site.

Can my plant use hydrogen or alternative feedstocks?

It may be possible, but the feed or fuel needs to be checked against your equipment and process. We assess reactions, heat release, materials, utilities, controls and product requirements before recommending a change.

Where should we start with industrial decarbonisation?

Start with a reliable view of energy use, emissions and operating constraints. We assess opportunities to reduce demand and recover resources, then compare options such as electrification, fuel switching or carbon capture against your costs and production needs.

What is the FIT framework?

FIT stands for Feasibility, Integrate and Transform. Feasibility covers preliminary concept verification and process feasibility studies. Integrate covers the integration engineering required for the chosen changes. Transform supports implementation and commissioning to help the plant perform against agreed goals: Transform to Perform.

What is the difference between FEL and FEED?

Front-end loading, or FEL, develops a project in stages and compares the options. Front-end engineering design, or FEED, develops the chosen route in more detail to support investment decisions and the next engineering stage. The exact deliverables are agreed for each project.

How do digital twins reduce project risk?

A digital twin is a model linked to the plant or process it represents. It can help test operating changes and identify constraints before work begins. Its usefulness depends on the quality of the data, model validation and how it is maintained.

Can you support refinery conversion to HVO or SAF?

We assess existing refinery units for renewable diesel, often called HVO, and sustainable aviation fuel, or SAF. The study checks the process route, hydrogen supply, equipment changes, product requirements and relevant sustainability criteria.

Can the work be planned around an operating plant?

Yes. We assess installation, tie-in and shutdown requirements early and phase the work where practical. Some changes still need an outage. The objective is to make that requirement clear before the work is committed.

Do you support process safety and commissioning?

Yes. The scope can include process safety studies, virtual commissioning, construction-phase engineering support and commissioning oversight. We agree responsibilities and deliverables at the start.
